Production of Exothermal Nonvolatile Metal Treatment Tools
Recently we have kicked off n new start-up project in the realm of exothermal metal treatment. The project assumes the production of nonvolatile metal treatment tools, and it is not about a new type of hammer or saw.
The project has been incepted in the year 2001 in Ukraine and is implemented by the company “ELKAS”. More than 10 years of the appropriate R&D activities preceded the business project inception.
The company is a licensed producer of nonvolatile exothermal metal treatment tools based on proprietary patented technology. Patents are issued by Ukrainian, Russian and Lithuanian authorities. The international patent has been filed and is pending.
Now the company produces small lots of its products and sells them in Ukraine and distributes to Canada, Russia and Kazakhstan.
The project goal is to incorporate full-fledged industrial company in Ukraine and organize the production of autonomous, nonvolatile metal treatment tools. As the matter of fact, the start-up and expansion capital is required to build production facilities and implement the market penetration and expansion strategy.
The project assumes the development of niche market in Ukraine and CIS by creating the export oriented business. Also, the project goal is to create the effective industrial base for further product improvement and market development.
The key product is certified nonvolatile exothermal metal treatment tools for welding, cutting, melting, etc. The product can be used to do thermal, chemical-thermal and thermal-mechanical works with metals, including non-ferrous metals.
The product is a compact and small-sized instrument, which requires no power sources, no special training and qualification of the staff. The instrument application areas are, but not limited to, quick-fix and field repair works, emergency and rescue works, repair of metal sanitary equipment, small repair works and works “at home” and local welding works.
The prospective application area is underwater works, but additional research and tests are required.
The brief presentation of the project you can find on the “Projects” page or download it here.
